Effective date: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Golden Tree Tarot collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the website, make purchases, create an account, or complete a tarot reading.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Name, email address, username, password or account credentials, and contact details.
- Billing and shipping information, order details, coupon use, and transaction status.
- Messages, support requests, newsletter choices, reviews, testimonials, and other content you submit.
- Tarot-reading information, which may include the reading selected, saved draw ID, selected cards, reversal preference, question or prompt, reading result, unlock status, credit balance, subscription status, and saved reading history.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, and security or error logs.
- Cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies used for carts, login, account sessions, saved draws, reading unlocks, preferences, fraud prevention, analytics, and website performance.
2. Sensitive information in reading questions
Tarot questions can be personal. Please do not enter Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, passwords, medical records, legal case documents, or other highly sensitive information in a reading question or support message. We use reading information to provide, restore, email, or save the reading features you request.
3. How we use information
- Provide free and paid readings, preserve a selected draw through checkout, unlock cards, send requested reading results, and show saved readings.
- Create and manage accounts, credits, subscription balances, renewals, orders, refunds, and customer support.
- Process and deliver physical-product orders.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, personalize, and improve the website.
- Send transactional messages and, with consent where required, marketing communications.
- Prevent fraud, enforce policies, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.
4. Accounts created during checkout
For purchases involving reading credits, subscriptions, saved readings, or a locked reading, an account may be required or automatically created from the checkout email address. This keeps purchases, credits, subscriptions, and reading access connected to the correct customer. Password setup or reset instructions may be sent by email.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers and WooCommerce-compatible gateways. Those providers receive information needed to authorize and complete the transaction. Golden Tree Tarot generally does not store complete payment-card numbers. Payment providers process information under their own privacy policies.
6. Service providers and disclosures
We may share information with vendors that help us host and secure the website, process payments, operate WordPress and WooCommerce, manage subscriptions, deliver email, provide analytics, prevent fraud, fulfill orders, and provide customer support. We share only information reasonably needed for those services.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information for money. If our practices ever fall within a law’s broader definition of “sale” or “sharing,” we will provide any required choices.
7. YouTube and embedded content
Pages may contain YouTube videos or other embedded third-party content. Viewing or interacting with embedded content may allow that provider to collect device, cookie, account, and usage information, particularly if you are logged in to the third-party service. Their privacy policies govern that collection.
8. Email and marketing
We send transactional messages about accounts, orders, subscriptions, credits, and requested readings. Marketing email is sent only as allowed by law and your preferences. You may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential transactional messages.
9. Cookies and browser storage
Essential cookies and browser storage support the cart, checkout, login, security, reading unlocks, saved draws, and preferences. Optional analytics or marketing technologies may be controlled through available cookie settings or browser controls. Blocking essential storage can prevent parts of the website from functioning correctly.
10. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain account and reading access, meet tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Order records may be retained for the legally required accounting period. Saved readings, credits, and subscription records may remain associated with an account until no longer needed or until a valid deletion request is completed, subject to legal exceptions.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No website, storage system, or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection, and to withdraw consent. You may also update certain account information in My Account and unsubscribe from marketing emails. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when legally permitted or required.
13. Children
The paid services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Paid purchases are limited to adults or the age of legal majority as described in the Terms.
14. International users
Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your country.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as our services or legal obligations change. The revised effective date will be posted above.
16. Contact
To ask a privacy question or submit a privacy request, email [email protected]. Please do not include highly sensitive information in the initial email.
